Decorating, upcycling, Craigslist find ...and Easter pants!

I had a lamp that desperately needed a shade. I couldn't find one I loved, so I settled for a cheap one that worked for now. It is THE most boring shade of tan/brown, and its boredom is really getting to me.
Well can't just let it get the best of me, huh? So, I went digging in my bonus/craft room for upcycling material...
I found the pom-pom lace, a hot glue gun, scissors and then crocheted style tan lace.
End result is a lot happier to look at!
Even if the pom poms are crooked...

Then I moved my beloved Marimekko curtains from the kitchen to the living room - whoa!
Feels like a whole new room! Jazzed...
Besides, now I can justify shopping for new kitchen curtains/fun fabric!

Then we got a new computer, and needed a private space where it can dwell in all its glory behind doors [that our toddler boy cannot open!]... We went to IKEA and they didn't have any computer armoires anymore. Nothing there would work for us. So I went diving in piles of Craigslist ads, and found the perfect solution! A computer armoire! From IKEA!! (they don't make these anymore) $50. Score!

... and I have been sewing pants for my boys for Easter! Have to finish with buttons & then get good pictures when they're ON!
