It has been a busy week already! This weekend I started getting stuff together for a garage sale. Wow. I have all this cabinet space in my kitchen, organized linen closet upstairs, and even the chaotic pantry is getting somewhat manageable!! Fun, fun... We'll see how the sale goes.
Between cleansing I have been trying out my camera to figure out all the adjustments...
Came upon this very colorful scene in my living room:
The back-light from the window was perfect to work with. I wish I had a fancier camera with more manual functions, but what I got is working for now!
I got the curtains made for my kitchen!!
Extremely simple, hemmed edges with bias tape for tabs on top. I love the result. My white/gray kitchen can take (& really needs) the bold colors!
Then today I attended a graduation - for the first time as a PARENT of the graduate, not being the graduate myself!! Crazy. Amazing. CUTE!!
Preschool graduation was super. Six kids recited the pledge of allegiance, sang songs & impressed us parents. They did super good.
The afternoons are long for the two oldest kids when they don't nap anymore. Thankfully, the weather has been getting better & better, and they're outside most of the day. Riding bikes, riding bikes, climbing trees, riding bikes, drawing on driveway with chalk, riding bikes...
When kids are inside, they're BORED. I don't like entertaining (please don't shoot me) - but I've been buyng more craft supplies for good (but not clean) fun. Latest hit is paints. There IS such a thing as too many papers with "artwork" lying around for drying/display, so I came up with a new solution today. For some reason they LOVED it.
Here we have: paint on paper towels! After you're done, we fold it up & in the garbage it goes!
(they don't care at all - it is SO SPECIAL to get to paint on paper towels!)
Some paint very tidy. Others, not so tidy.
Different Personalities...
While writing this blog post I'm enjoying the scent of a new candle I bought [myself] before Mother's Day. I actually bought two, and gave the other to another deserving Mom.
Don't think I ever impulse-bought a candle before, but I love it!
