Indians schmindians

We had a couple warm days, but of course as I'm writing this the rain is back haunting us again.
Well, the kids managed to spend an amazing amount of hours outside, enough where they actually got bored & started fighting out there.
Normally, riding bikes is such eternal fun I don't have to entertain them with any outdoor games, but I guess I'll have to start.

My oldest son came in and said they were indians. And what names did indians have anyway?
He had lots of questions and wanted to know how to be a better indian.
Weeellll.... I was kinda busy so I had to think fast. And it worked.
A few snips with the scissors - perfect prop. Headband. Instant indians.

Here we have: Smiling Tiger
(trying to look tough for picture)

...and here: Smart Cheetah!

Laughing Bear was sleeping.
But we had one more willing to take on the role as an idian:
(not sure of name)

My dear husband of course wondered what cheetahs and tigers had to do with INDIANS (since we're not talking the Asian ones but native American ones...).
I guess they just rated highest on the coolest-animals list.

Not the longest post but this simple prop gave my kids extreme imagination & confidence in their indian personalities - for hours of fun - so I figured I should share.

Hahaha!!! Cuuuuuuute!!! Love the pics, love the names. "Lucky Little Pig!" haha! Neat! And, yeah - everything make sense in the imagination of a child. Who cares about what grown up thinks?! ;)

Oh... and Smiling Tiger is VEEERY tough, but I wonder if Chief Cheetah is freezing?! ;)
