Between weddings & company staying here & birthdays & being lazy, this blog has been left in the dust.
Well I really haven't been creating any fantastic things to show off (though I did make a new collection for Spoonflower - but will post that when I get the swatches in the mail), so I'll have to make up for lack of words with pictures....
Kids watching the garbage truck(s) coming through our cul-de-sac. This is the highlight of Fridays - do not miss! And here is the gorgeous flower basket my husband got me for my birthday. |
Our kids live on their bikes. The other night my friend counted ten - yes, TEN - bikes/trikes in our front yard. Did I mention we have three kids old enough to ride them??
The gray cul-de-sac made for a cool backdrop getting pics of wild child on bike.

That purple flower, completely forget what it's called, will grow like a weed if you don't watch it carefully! They ARE weeds in Finland, because there's probably enough for each human to have 304 each. 'Planty to go around...' as the cheesy, bad humorists would say. ;-)
Lupiner heter de. Mamma har/hade en planta av dem i rabatten och vet hur man håller dem i schack så de inte tar över hela trädgården.
There's maybe 4 of them in the one garden. They haven't multiplied yet in the past year n half - but would be great if they did & filled that whole garden! :)
Hey "planty"... That's HH-humor for SURE!!!
Lupiner used to fill every single ditch from Varberg to Halmstad, at least in my memory of my childhood days. I know it's labeled as a weed (almost anyway) but I LOVE it. Because to me it's SUMMER! :)
