what I've been doing this week...
sewing leggings for etsy store..
(mrshervi.etsy.com)
baking..
semlor. A few times in the last week. They're cardamom rolls that you cut the top off,
pull out some of the inside & mix with almond paste then put back. Fill with whipping cream
then put top back on & dust with powdered sugar. YUM.

It's a swedish thing. It's really good.
Then I made this lemon pull-apart cake... Not a beautiful picture, but THIS SITE
shows how it could look really gorgeous. It gives you the recipe.
Yum. You eat it with lemon-cream-cheese frosting...
What my kids did this week:
(hint: there is a snowman in this picture)

I'm not going to say anything about the fact that semlor originally came from Germany (or, the original semla or "heissweg"/hetvägg did)...so, instead I'll just say that "THEY LOOK DELICIOUS!!!"
So does the lemon coffee bread. Think I'll try to make it! Yum! :)
ha ha Sofia the scholar. All I know is that I would love to have a semla with my coffee just now... But I'm too lazy to bake them myself. Maybe next week. p.s. very cute leggings!
oh and either way - it's totally a Swedish thing, just like Lucia, no matter what the origin may be! :)
thanks rose :)
LOVE the leggings!
